Kathy recently moved to the bay area from Chicago bringing an athletic background and clinic experience of working with clients in an orthopedic, physical therapy setting. She is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Illinois, certified massage therapist in the state of California and has been nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork since 2007.
Being an athlete and an advocate about staying active and healthy, she can relate to her clients and has experience in working with athletic injuries, such as IT band contracture, rotator cuff issues, plantar's fascitis, tendonitis and other more common related issues like muscle cramping, strains and sprains.
Her massage experience has been not only with athletes of all levels, but with surgical patients and clients with specific diagnoses or pathologies that are needing a more clinical massage as well. She uses a clinical analysis for clients seeking an orthopedic or medical massage that may help reduce scarring, improve postural alignment or increase range of motion in a joint.
Kathy's goals for her clients are to restore health and promote overall well being for a more positive, healthy and happy life.
